This Special Interest Group, officially approved in October of 2009, expects to experience exponential growth akin to that of virtual worlds themselves. Take part. ![]()

Comment by Andrew Wheelock on May 17, 2012 at 3:42am Hey Everyone,
If you missed out last SIGVE Speaker Series, check it out by going below. We had a lot of great news to share as well as presenting about Mission US.
Comment by Rosie O'Brien Vojtek on May 16, 2012 at 4:31pm Can you believe VEJ is almost a year old? The next issue of The Virtual Education Journal (VEJ Vol. 2 Issue 1) featuring highlights from VWBPE 2012, ISTE SIGVE’s New Home, and more educational stories about Why We Are Still Here will be hot off the press in June for ISTE 2012 in San Diego, CA.
We need your help in writing stories about the work you are doing in second life – especially why you are still here! We want to get the word out that ISTE SIGVE is alive and stronger than ever before! We are specifically looking for stories in this issue from:
VWBPE 2012 presenters. We would love to have you submit a short article (500- 1,000 words) about your topic along with several pictures (jpeg preferred) or PowerPoint slides from your presentation.
People who are exploring other virtual worlds and games – let us know what you are doing and why you are still here/there in places like WOW, RG, Kitely, 3rd Rock, JokadyiaGrid, Minecraft, Quest Atlantis, Club Penguin, etc.
People who participated in the VWBPE MOOC and/or Machinima Fest - please share your experiences and what you learned.
People who would like to share your educational work and play in virtual environments (i.e., worlds, games) with other educators.
We look forward to having you share your stories and pictures with the rest of us in the June issue of VEJ! Thank you for your help!
Send questions and submissions to rvojtek@edovation.com and be sure to put VEJ in the subject line.
