We also added some new demos for Excel 2007 and asp.net at SofTutor Demos . Feel free to share them with your students.

Also if you use SofTutor authoring tools for teaching or peer to peer collaboration we are starting add how it was made tutorials to our demo page so you can see how easy it is to mix and match training from different sources. If your kids use Autodesk products you can download and check in hundreds of tutorials into SofTutor and share with your students. With collaboration tools they can also mix and match everyone's training to build their own custom training modules.

We also started putting some of 1,200 inhouse videos online at FreeAutoCADTraining.com and FreeMicroStationTraining.com .

We also started a blog to help teach teachers how to make better screen casts at TheScreenCastWizard.com

And added a SofTutor Ning users group

SofTutor for Second Life (academic ISTE version users) you can extend your license to 3/31/10 by entering the code below (click on the options button)

vJNJjV1Cxk4=

Were in the process of working on our licensing and will eventually have an academic license but for the time being just check back every few months for a new key. If you are user of the full product SofTutor with authoring/collaboration tools you will not need these keys.

SofTutor is super easy to use ... I know I invented it! I founded NVSI.com took a family leave of absence (2002-2007) met a lot of people including the mayor of banjul gambia and decided to move to teaching kids. Now it's easy enough for an 8 year old to use to author and teach. I still wanna get worldtraining.org off the ground but k-12kids.com is a good place to start.

Our first product planned for NECC 09
SofTutor for Second Life

see a sneak peek at youtube

Hi everyone!

A friend invited me to Educause last year, during that time I realized the need to help get kids & teachers up to speed on technology faster so we've started developing titles to help educators, students and staff get up to speed on technology faster. Products created will be free for all with the SofTutor Player.

We're funded by nvsi.com the manufacturer of SofTutor products and they have let us use their tools to develop content.

We expect a 5 free titles this year:
Second Life w content provided by imohax.com
Moodle w content provided by Jason Welsh
Facebook w content provided by a 14 year old.
and others to be determined. (does anyone have any blackboard content?)

All content needs to licensed "cc by" creativecommons.org as full SofTutor licensed customers can mash up any content. Feel free to watermark your content. And post a link for your content on this site, the ning license is confusing and if you put it on this site it may be nings property instead of "cc by".

SofTutor's language independent so if you can make a video it can be used to train anyone If there are any full licensed users in other countries please think about sharing your content with us.
