As you know the success of ISTE depends upon the many volunteers that contribute their time and talents to the organization. Currently, ISTE's Special Interest Group Program are accepting nominations for open officer positions. This is a great opportunity for building your PLN and your resume! For more information, you can email me at awatters@iste.org or visit http://www.iste.org/sigelections2010.

Ryan,
Thanks for the feedback. I was planning on allowing additional time for viewing the art and experiencing the museum.

Another idea, Dorothy, would be to give the list of items away earlier and allow the teams more time to go through there. Take all of the teams with correct answers and have a drawing to see who the winner is. I felt like we needed to rush in the Portrait Gallery and I misses out on some good art and even more mingling/interacting.

I decided to replicate the Portrait Gallery experience for my teachers at the Minneapolis Museum of Art during workshop week in August. What better way for them to understand the fun and value of cell phones but to put them to educational use.

I would suggest you go on some Global educator sites, Lucy Gray has one which I suddenly can't remember. If you Google Lucy it will come up.
