- My name is Yasemin Allsop. I have worked as an ICT coordinator in various inner city schools for the last 8 years, currently based at Wilbury Primary School in Enfield. I gained my PGCE in Early Years and Primary at London Metropolitan University and my MA ICT in Education from the IOE, University of London. I am a strong supporter of project based learning of ICT and the use of technology across the curriculum. I have taken part in many national and international projects involving technology such as the New York city Global Partners Junior Project where I had the opportunity to visit NewYork and work with colleagues from around the world. I coached the team that won the 1minuetutosavetheworld film competition in 2011 and the second place in the Oracle ThinkQuest Digital Media under 12 category in 2011. I believe that the effective use of technology in education requires not only a good knowledge and understanding of underlying theories, but also the tools that are being used in learning and teaching. I follow the advancements in technology to keep up to date with current developments and then share my experience through various conferences and Web 2 tools.
